Old School Model Works : R/C Pilot Figures - My Cockpit Deserves Better Throwdown

Want to win a Cranky Cockpit Club prize package - which includes pilot figure of your choice?

This is what the Throwdown is all about. By sharing photos and info (with us) of your own Cranky Cockpit Club pilot, painted and ready for action, you'll have a chance to win one of our quarterly prize packages, which includes the Cranky Cockpit Club pilot figure of your choice.

Here's how it works.

First, you need one of our Cranky Cockpit Club pilot figures - either one you have previously purchased, or grab a new one from us to use. (Must be one of our pilots - no other manufacturers or hand-made pilots are eligible.)

Next, grab your paints and bring your Cranky Cockpit Club pilot to life. Choose the perfect color for the jacket, scarf, helmet, flight suit, hair, eyes, etc.

Now, if the mood suits you, add any other details to make this pilot your own. Maybe add a flowing scarf, a scar on the cheek or maybe have the pilot smoking a cigar to show some attitude. Use your imagination to make your pilot a great fit for your aircraft.

Shoot some great pictures of your finished pilot from a few angles that really show off your skill and imagination.

Then, its time to bring that boring cockpit of your airplane to life by installing your new pilot in place. Shoot a few more pics of your pilot in his new cockpit.

Finally, share these high-quality, great looking photos with us via email.
Please don't downsize them - send them at full resolution.
Also, be sure to write a little bit about your inspiration, as well as what kit your awesome, new pilot is piloting.

Here's the fine print about the Throwdown.

The criteria for picking each winner is as simple as the entry that best catches our eyes will be the winner. Whether it's the paint job, the originality, the imagination, or some combination of any of these, that's what we're looking for in a winning entry.

As mentioned earlier, photos of each entry must be of one of our Cranky Cockpit Club pilots. No other type/manufacturer of pilot figure will be considered.

The type of airplane, will have no bearing on the winner. This isn't an airplane contest - it's a pilot contest.

Winners will be chosen solely by those of us who work Old School Model Works.

Throwdown winners will be chosen quarterly (1 winner chosen at 3-month intervals - 4 times per year for the length of the contest). Only entries received during the current 3-month period will be eligible for consideration to win the current Throwdown prize. Previous winners will be posted below.

We will contact the winner via email and coordinate sending the prize package, including the CCC pilot of their choice, within 10 business days of picking the winner. Each winner will also be part of our social media posts, Flickr albums, and email newsletters.

All eligible entries will be shared on our social media posts and our Flickr albums. to now only show off your skills, but also to promote our Throwdown.

The winning prize package cannot be exchanged for any other product and/or discounts. Old School Model Works will cover the shipping of the prize package in the continental USA. If the winner is outside this area, we will work with the winner for them to cover the difference in shipping costs.
